Rates are listed in USD and there is a 13% tax added.
Payment of deposit 50% of total room(s) cost is required to guarantee reservation confirmation.
Payment for your reservation balance is due upon or before arrival.
Any refunds will be made to the same card or account that was used to make the payments.
No refunds will be given, or adjustments made to your existing balance due, for unused portions of your reservation (no show, late arrival, early departure).
Cancellations made 30 days prior to arrival date will receive a full refund *exceptions below.
If cancelled within 30 days of check-in date we charge 25% of full stay (half deposit). 
If cancelled within 15 days of check-in date we charge 50% of full stay (full deposit).
If cancelled within 48 hours of check-in date we charge FULL stay.

*HOLIDAY dates or GROUPS (with 4 rooms or more) are charged FULL stay if cancelled within 15 days, charged 50% of full stay if cancelled within 30 days and 25% of full stay if cancelled within 60 days of arrival. Reservations for Holiday dates or groups with 4 or more rooms must be paid in full two weeks before arrival. **To reserve the entire facility a non-refundable 50% payment is required.

Meals:

Unless otherwise indicated, the rate does not include meals. Please email us if you would like to add a meal package to your reservation. 

Guests Only:

La Ponderosa is a PRIVATE hotel and resort. Use of facilities is for registered guests only.

Additional guests:

There are two adult guests included in the room rates and four adult guests included in the villa rates. You can add a guest to your room (child or adult) for an additional $10/ day/ guest. No charge for children under two years. Maximum guests depends on room type.

Cooking:

The rooms do NOT have cooking facilities. Bringing your own cooking equipment is prohibited due to the danger of fire, electrical overload and risk of damage to the room or furniture (including patios or balconies).

VILLA EL OSO PEREZOSO has an equipped kitchenette, this is the only accommodation where cooking is allowed. 

Smoking:

Costa Rica's anti-smoking law #9028 "Tobacco smoke-free environment" prohibits smoking tobacco in ALL areas of La Ponderosa. You can legally smoke tobacco in the street or at the beach but please take care to keep a distance from non-smokers.

Pets:

Sorry no guest pets allowed at La Ponderosa.
